What software do we generally use to test SSD speed?

1. CrystalDiskMark:
It is a speed test software that appeared earlier. It was prepared for ssd at the beginning. Of course, it is not a problem to test U disk and hard disk. Its size is small, and the interface is relatively simple, easy to use, and easy to use. You can take it with you to test your device at any time. It can test the speed of continuous read and write and random read and write of the hard disk, so that you can compare the performance of the hard disk. It is a relatively accurate speed test software at present. It can not only test large files, but also read and write small files speed.

2. AS SSD Benchmark:
This is our most recommended ssd testing software. Compared with other testing softwares, this one is specially developed for ssd. It can not only test the read and write speed of ssd, but also give the status check whether it has been 4K aligned or not. To check whether the driver status of SSD has been installed, it is currently the most worthy tool for testing SSDs. It is equivalent to replacing all the software mentioned above to detect SSDs. It can test the smallest files at the same read and write speed. Speed and speed of large files.

In addition, it also uses the IOPS test results to indicate the number of read and write (I/O interface) operations performed by the solid state drive per second. The higher the value, the faster the read and write speed of small files, and the better the SSD.

3. CrystalDiskInfo:
CrystalDiskInfo is abbreviated as CDI. The focus is not on the speed test, but a practical ssd health diagnosis tool. After starting it, you can visually check the entire health status, temperature and more related information of the hard disk. In addition to supporting general mechanical hard drives, it also supports SSD solid state drives and even some mobile hard drives, and the main function on the SSD is to test its interface type, firmware version and the number of times the SSD has been used.

4. ATTO Disk Benchmark:
This is the oldest speed test software. It was used to test USB flash drives in the past, and it can also be used for ssd tests. However, since it has not been updated for a long time, the accuracy of the speed test is not very good, so it is not very recommended. ATTO Disk Benchmark is a disk/network performance test tool produced by ATTO. The software uses a test package of 64KB-256MB. The data package is read and written according to 0.5K, 1.0K, 2.0K and 8192KB. After completion, the data is expressed in the form of a histogram. It illustrates the impact of different file size ratios on disk speed.

5. HD Tune Pro:
This is also a very old speed test software. It was originally used for ordinary hard disks. Its main functions include hard disk transfer rate detection, health status detection, temperature detection, and disk surface scanning. In addition, it can also detect the hard disk’s firmware version, serial number, capacity, cache, size, and the current Ultra DMA mode. Although these functions are also available in other software, it is commendable that this software integrates all these functions, and is very small and fast, but this tool is not easy to use for SSDs, and it is no longer suitable for the structure of SSDs. It is suitable for mechanical hard drives, but the speed test can still be used as a reference, it will give a speed curve, you can see the stability of the ssd.

In summary, if you are testing SSD, you only need to use the two software AS SSD Benchmark and CrystalDiskMark.
